DIY Instax Gift Tags

Hello! I've been super busy in Australia and even though i've had these photos for a few days I still haven't really done anything with them. I know it's now very close to Christmas but this could be a cute add on which adds a cute bit of detail to any present or gift.

Let’s get started!

You will need //

~ Instax Mini Prints
~ Coloured card (I chose Christmas colours green and red for this!)
~ Scissors or a craft knife, we didn’t have a craft knife but it would be easier if you did have a craft knife
~ A ruler
~ A pencil or pen
~ A hole punch
~ Double sided cello tape or a glue stick

Step 1 //

Measure 10.5cm long x 7cm wide on your card using your pencil or pen as demonstrated in the photos below. Make two of these rectangles.

Step 2 //

Cut both of your squares out now

So now you will end up with two of these

Step 3 //

Now measure 2.5cm and rule a line on two corners, this is really hard to explain but basically just do it like I have done below on the shorter side rather than the longer side. Do this on both of your rectangles as they have to be exactly the same or as close as possible to the same.

And then you will end up with two of these

Step 4 //

Now take your instant print and pencil around the edges where you will cut slits to slide the photo into. You will do this on every corner of your instant photo and only on one of the rectangles. The other one will be put to use later.

Step 5 //

Now that you have marked where you want to cut, you can use a craft knife or scissors to cut where you have marked.

When using scissors: make sure you cut through the card deeply and not just a shallow cut. You may have to turn the card over and make a cut on the other side to get through the card.

Step 6 //

Slide your photo into the cuts you have made and then get your double sided cello tape. This is wear the other piece of card comes in handy! With the cello tape cut a few pieces of it (see two photos down) and stick it on the other piece of card like so. Once you have done this you can peel of the backing of the double sided cello tape and stick the two pieces of card together.

Step 7 //

Now that you have stuck your pieces of card together, you can use your hole punch to make a hole through the top of your gift tag.

You’re done! Make as many gift tags as you want and use them to spice up your gifts! I really like the Instax wrapping paper that Harri from vanilla craft blog made. See her diy here!

Merry Christmas everyone and I hope you all get wonderful presents!

I’d love to hear from you! Comment below what you think of this post!
